"Say that somebody tries to make a move on flu"

It was almost Licence to Kill time at the Florida Theatre (or is that License? But Gladys Knight fans were left confused when she cancelled just before the show started.

Turns out that Gladys and a member of her crew were struck down by a nasty bout of the flu right before the curtain call.

She took to Instagram the next day to reassure her followers:

"Hi my loves! I have that flu that is going around and am already feeling better. I'll see everyone real soon and appreciate the good wishes".

Florida Theatre staff were quick to update the audience, explaining that the illness had hit "very suddenly". They promised ticket holders would be refunded if the show couldn't be rescheduled.

But Gladys fans can breathe a sigh of relief. The show is set for July.
